Virginia Roberts

Virginia Roberts

Who is Virginia Roberts and why should we be concerned about her welfare? She is the 31-year old woman currently at the center of the controversy surrounding Prince Andrew and the Jeffrey Epstein sex slave scandal. As the fallout from her testimony is so serious, I would advise her to check her brakes before she drives off to Walmart with her kids because her life is probably in danger.

Jeffrey Epstein
Jeffrey Epstein is  was an American financier who in 2008 in Florida was convicted of soliciting an underage girl for sex. It has since been discovered that he kept many young girls available for sex with his high end customers, one of whom was Prince Andrew. According to Roberts, Epstein slept with girls as young as 12 years old.

Epstein was reported to police in March 2005 when a woman alleged her 14-year-old daughter had been paid $200 to strip and massage him after being taken to his mansion by an older girl. As a result of her report, police investigated Epstein, and after interviewing seventeen witnesses under oath, discovered that many of the girls he hired were under the age of 18. A search of his home turned up incriminating photos of under-aged girls, while his housekeepers also reported that when in residence at his home in Palm Beach, Epstein would receive massages on a regular basis.  Detectives built a case against Epstein which showed that he used under-aged girls to recruit other under-aged girls. Consequently, Palm Beach police charged him with unlawful sex with minors and one count of molestation. His sentence was a slap on the wrist. He served an 18-month sentence and had to register as a sex offender when he was released in 2009.

Virginia Roberts was originally discovered by Ghislaine Maxwell, the daughter of the disgraced publisher Robert Maxwell, and a good friend and pimp of Epstein's. She maintained friendships with many of the rich and powerful, who she then introduced to Jeffrey Epstein. Virginia was working as an assistant in a massage studio in Mar-A-Lago, the plush hotel owned by financier Donald Trump, when she first met Ghislaine, who immediately liked her tall, lithe body and invited her to work for Epstein. Ghislaine, said Virginia, recruited her into Epstein's harem of young 'masseuses' whose job was to satisfy the financier's twisted sexual fantasies. Virginia was also requested by Epstein to gather information on the quirks and fetishes of his famous and monied clientele for future favors or blackmail. Predictable denials have been voiced by Ghislaine, who says the claims against her are 'untrue' and 'obvious lies.'

Prince Andrew and VirginiaWhy this topic has reached epic proportions is because Virginia says she had sex with Prince Andrew three times, all when she was under the age of 18, and under the age of consent in the state of Florida. Prince Andrew has denied any wrongdoing in this regard and claims to have never had sex with Miss Roberts. However, Epstein's butler says that Prince Andrew's bodyguards slept in the guestroom while Andy had it off with Virginia. He looks pretty cozy with her in the photo on the left, as if he can't wait to get after her. Oh, but that's a fake photo, according to Andrew because those aren't his hands. If it weren't for this incriminating photo, he'd probably deny having met her and we wouldn't have known about his foot fetish. Unfortunately for the Queen, Prince Andrew continued to associate with the seedy Epstein after he was released from prison in 2009, going so far as to stay in Epstein's New York townhouse once he was freed.

Today, Miss Roberts says that she's writing a book about the whole affair and is currently in hiding somewhere in Colorado as she has been threatened. She may want to stay in hiding longer because if this affair continues to expand and continues to disgrace the royal family, as well as many others in positions of power, her life may be in jeopardy by the M15, an organization akin to the CIA and well known to get rid of people who are creating too much dust.

Perhaps it was a mistake her announcing she was writing a book. She has a prominent list of men she could write about: Bill Clinton, the notorious sperm donor; Al Gore, the sanctimonious global warming fear monger; President Obama’s Middle East peace envoy Senator George Mitchell, and a host of others including Israeli Defense Secretary Ehud Barak and the Duchess of York's original toe-sucker, Prince Andrew himself. It's certainly not doing Andrew's case any good to have his ex-wife, nutjob Sarah Ferguson, going on American talk shows to propound his moral values. One of Epstein's lawyers, Alan Dershowitz, was also accused of being one of Virginia Robert's clients, a charge that Dershowitz denies. Yet however Dershowitz may try and distance himself from the seedy Epstein, pilot logs show that he flew numerous times with Epstein on his private jet, along with Bill Clinton and some anonymous women who have not been named. Roberts said that Donald Trump was also a good friend of Jeffrey’s. 'He didn’t partake in sex with any of us but he flirted with me,' she says. He evidently laughed and told Jeffrey that he had quite the life. Clinton, Gore and Mitchell were asked about the Epstein case, but of course, declined to comment. I can't wait to read her book, if it ever gets to print.

UPDATE

Since last writing about Virginia Roberts Giuffre, of course everybody knows what has transpired. Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide (unlikely) and more attention has focused on the women who were abused by not only Jeffrey, but legions of rich and powerful men, including Andy, Queen Elizabeth's son. Andy also borrowed 12 million from his mom to pay off Roberts, a woman he says he never met. I mentioned years ago that her life was under threat simply because she could expose too many men with her story. Her situation is now precarious in that she is being threatened. Good that she's publicizing on social media that her death would not be a suicide. Fingers crossed Virginia, get yourself to safety!

Facebook Fabrications

Facebook is a fabulous media tool in many ways. Because I have traveled to many countries and made friends everywhere, it's a wonderful way to correspond, share photos, and keep in touch. I like scrolling through the photos of my daughter and watch videos of her cats, as well as the many travel photos that spark ideas for where I'd like to go next. However, as I comb through the photos of beach parties, cruise excursions, family photos, cute grand kids, birthday cakes and cuddly dogs I wonder. Are we really having such a great time? Is everybody's life as wonderful as it all seems? Doesn't anybody get frustrated, angry or depressed anymore, or has that all been swept into the recycle bin and deleted?

Recently a few articles have been published about the misleading element to Facebook. According to a study done by Dr. Richard Sherry, a clinical psychologist, about two-thirds of social-media users lie to ‘airbrush reality’ in order to create a more interesting life. Another survey, done by the social networking site Pencourage, found that '68 per cent embellish, exaggerate or outright lie when documenting events on social media.' This has lead to what is called 'digital amnesia,' a creation of a done-up, fantasy life that confuses facts with reality to the point that reality is distorted and, with time, not even remembered. In other words, we're reluctant to share how boring our lives really are; we don't want to share the hassles with boyfriends, lovers, husbands. And certainly we don't want to share how desperately unhappy and depressed we are. According to facebook, nobody's depressed or unhappy or suicidal, it's just one big happy world of birthday parties, weekend trips, and family soirees.

I have to agree with Pencourage because I do know the reality of some of my friends' lives. When I see the photos of my friend relaxing on his yacht in St. Kitt's with his wife frolicking around beside him in her bikini taking selfies of them goofing and hugging, you'd think they were on their second honeymoon, but in reality, their marriage is on the rocks and all they do is fight, to the point they're both unhappy and only one greasy argument away from the divorce court. However, you'd never know it from the pics and all the congratulations they get on their relationship, with which they so kindly concur with 'Like'.
